Savana Jade Wehunt


Savana Jade Wehunt is a professional actress best known for her roles on AMC’s The walking Dead, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and MTV’s Teen Wolf.

Savana was born early while on a family trip in Birmingham AL. She soon showed her acting skills in elementry school starring in her first play. In middle school, she started playing the trumpet and played various parts in The Wiz. In high school (Campbell High School, Julia Robert’s Alma Mater.) her love for music and drama grew. She joined the marching band, concert band and jazz band and was the only female trumpet player. She played solos during the half time show during her Jr and Sr year. 

But her love for drama really took off. She was in many productions including Aida, The Laramie Project, and Charolette’s Web. She play James in James and the Giant Peach and Toby in Sweeny Todd. She was assistant director to her drama teacher for The Wedding Singer. She has done tech for Coffee House and M.C.’d for several Battle of the Bands at her high school and church.

In 2006 she got her first haunt job at Creepers Haunted House. Learning the techniques that have gotten to where she is today and she worked there until they closed in 2008. In 2010 she joined the team at Six Flags Over Georgia’s Fright Fest and was asked back for the 2011 to play her role as the zombie “Julie”. Also in 2010 and 2011 she was part of the cast at Folklore Haunted House in Dallas GA.

But in the spring of 2011 she got the call to come to Greg Nicotero’s Zombie school for The Walking Dead, season two. After several shoots, they ask her if she would like to a stand in for the children on the show. Next Greg ask to be a “hero” zombie in his Webisode. She can be seen in Episodes 1, 2, and 3. Webisode # 6 and we are not sure at this time exactly which episodes in the second part of the season.

She has worked as an extra on MTV’s Teen Wolf, the movies The Watch, The Goats, Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Madea’s Christmas. This summer she will be a Lead Ghoul and Ghoul Coordinator for The Night of the Living Dead.

She is a student at the University of West Georgia for early childhood education and was on the Dean’s List last semester. She loves going to conventions and meeting her fans.
